WVU-Pitt Television Time Announced
The 102nd edition of the “Backyard Brawl” between Pitt and West Virginia on Friday, Nov. 27, at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium will be televised by ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
Both Pitt (9-1, 5-0 Big East) and West Virginia (7-3, 3-2 Big East) are off this week.

The West Virginia University Mountaineer Marching Band, under the direction of Jay Drury, will present its annual “Keynotes” concerts November 30 and December 1 at the Creative Arts Center.
The concerts – which begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre – will showcase the band’s full complement of brass, woodwinds, percussion, flags and feature twirlers. They will perform musical highlights from the 2009 football season, including favorite pregame and halftime music.
For all those fans who can’t make it to the 2009 KeyNotes concerts, we will bring it to you…LIVE ON THE WEB! Links will be available at 7:15 p.m.
To watch the video, the latest version of Apple® Quicktime 7 is required.
Donors give more than $85K to 2009 Pride Travel Fund

Talk about hitting a high note. The West Virginia University Marching Band, known as the “Pride of West Virginia,” has received $85,505.67 from 750 donors to date, a result of its 2009 Travel Fund campaign. The ongoing fund was established to help defer the cost of travel for the WVU Marching Band.
A check was presented to the band during halftime of the WVU vs. Connecticut football game Saturday (Oct. 24).
A simple gift to the Pride Travel Fund helps others experience the thrills of the WVU Band
For Mountaineer fans, the West Virginia University Marching Band’s pre-game and half-time performances are integral parts of the home football game experience. But taking “The Pride” on the road can be quite a challenge. Getting the nearly 400-member band to away games or events around the state is quite expensive.
