Welcome from Kappa Kappa Psi

On behalf of the Omicron chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi I would like to welcome you to the 110th Edition of The Pride of West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band! This is bound to be an exciting season full of amazing trips, epic performances, and hopefully Mountaineer wins! We are all looking forward to band camp and seeing our friends and working our way running out of the tunnels that first home game! Rookies, this is an exciting time in your life and we can’t wait to welcome you into our WVU Marching Band family this coming August.

Kappa Kappa Psi is a National Honorary Marching Band Fraternity. We are a co-ed service fraternity whose main purpose is to support and promote the band programs at colleges and universities around the nation. The Omicron chapter here at West Virginia University is one of the oldest and greatest chapters in the nation and strives to continue our large amount of service to the marching band and community. Omicron is also in charge of Band Warehouse, which is the only place to get official Mountaineer Marching Band material. We have 30 members that make it their purpose to make sure that this band is supported and runs smoothly. We are also very proud to have leaders throughout the band that are assistant rank leaders, rank leaders, assistant section leaders, section leaders, and both drum majors. Our RUSH process will start in late September, so if you are interested in joining listen up for announcements during the year at practice!

Omicron is always looking for new ways and ideas to help the band so if you have any let me know! I will always be available for questions, comments, and ideas regarding anything marching band related, not just Kappa Kappa Psi questions. All you have to do is find me. I’m Color Guard Section Leader this year and will also often be making announcements at the end of practice at story time. I’m looking forward to making this an amazing season and I can’t wait for band camp to roll around in August!! Let’s Gooooo Mountaineers!
